History of English Literature

Abstract

The textbook is designed to help students master the main stages of the development of English literature, and to form a comprehensive understanding of the leading literary movements, genres, artistic trends, and the works of key representatives not only of English literature but also of the broader Englishlanguage literary tradition. The publication includes a thematic plan of classes, lecture summaries, practical lesson plans, a description of the teaching and assessment methods used, as well as educational-methodical and reference materials. The textbook is intended for the training of bachelor’s students in the specialties B 11.065 Eastern Languages and Literatures (Chinese and Japanese) with English as the second language.
