The article deals with the role of political violence in the modern world through the prism of exacerbation of cultural-religious contradictions. Based on the analysis of statistical data, the tendencies of the spread of confrontation on religious grounds have been revealed, such as discrimination and impairment of the rights of religious communities, ethnic-confessional conflicts, and the spread of transnational religious terrorism. The complex interaction between the USA and China, which has developed into a real confrontation, greatly affects global politics and economics, significantly influencing the geopolitical situation. The political behaviour of most countries, delicate geopolitical balance, and the solution to global problems are now directly dependent on changes in U.S.-China relations. The study aims to determine the consequences of U.S.-China relations for global politics. The methodology of the study involved using a comparison method, graphical analysis of the characteristics of the role of the U.S. and China for the respective countries (adversary, rival, ally, partner), prognostic method and content analysis of German political declarative documents. Establishing optimal U.S.-China relations would help solve the problems of global recession, mass migration, environmental issues, Russian military aggression in Ukraine, and food security. The article reveals the pragmatic approaches of most countries to the competition between the U.S. and China. Identifying the critical goals of U.S. and China relations will help establish possible prospects for cooperation or increased conflict due to changes in the geopolitical situation. У статті розглядається повстання 1855 р. в Україні, що відігравало значну роль у контексті політичного та військового становища Російсь¬кої імперії під час Кримської війни та знайшло ві¬дображення у британській пресі. Були проаналізо¬вані такі газети 1855 p., як The Morning Post, The Belfast Daily Mercury, The Evening Packet, The Nor¬thern Whig, Derbyshire Courier та ін. Згідно до відо¬мостей з джерел було встановлено основні події повстання, його причини та роль у соціально-по¬літичній ситуації України та Росії загалом. Опра¬цьовані джерела дають нам досить коротку, але змістовну інформацію стосовно українських по¬встань, пропонують свою точку зору на події, ві¬дображають загальну думку іноземних держав про становище українців-кріпаків під час Кримської війни в Російській імперії, і аналізують їх участь та роль в економічному функціонуванні російської держави у воєнний період. С.; Бурьян, М. А У пропонованій статті розглядаються актуальні питання інкорпорації території Південного Кавказу до складу Російської імперії на початку ХІХ століття. Нагальність аналізу міжнародної ситуації окресленого періоду зумовлена відновленням військових дій у Нагірному Карабасі у жовтні – листопаді 2020 року, невирішеністю територіальних протиріч між іншими країнами регіону, небезпекою переростання замороженого регіонального конфлікту у стадію війни за умови військового посилення однієї з протиборчих сил. Причину етнічних, конфесійних, територіальних протиріч у Кавказькому регіоні потрібно шукати в історичному минулому, у територіальних перерозподілах, що мали місце більше двох сотень років тому. Як і тоді, так і тепер Південний Кавказ – стратегічно важливий регіон, де на домінування претендують як регіональні гравці – Грузія, Вірменія, Азербайджан, Іран, так і світові – Росія й Туреччина. Російсько-іранські й російсько-турецькі взаємні претензії на землі Закавказзя в 1804 – 1813 рр. і 1806 – 1812 рр. відповідно призвели до війн, що закінчилися перемогою Російської імперії й включенням до її території значної частини земель Південного Кавказу.
