dc.description.abstract	Виходячи з розгляду енігматичного як інгерентної ознаки функціонування відкритих систем й розгортання різноманітних сценаріїв за їхньою участю та спираючись на визначення концепту як одиниці інформаційної структури, що закріплює досвід взаємодії людини з середовищем, характеризується динамізмом і лінгвокультурною специфікою, ця стаття є спробою реконструкції та систематизації компонентів, що складають зміст концепту MYSTERY у смисловому полі англомовних лінгвоспільнот через звернення до різних галузей гуманітарного знання. Було встановлено, що енігматичний феномен може тлумачитися як сутність, ознаками якої є непізнаність, непізнаваність чи засекреченість, характеристика інформації чи дія (непередавання як тип комунікативної інтеракції). Як дистинктивна ознака детективного жанру, таємниця визначає його зміст і наративну структуру через діалектичну єдність приховування й розв’язування в художньому творі, тоді як у рамках енігматичного дискурсу таємниця актуалізує інтерактивний потенціал тексту, встановлюючи стратегії взаємодії між його адресантом та адресатом.	uk_UA
dc.description.sponsorship	The article builds on the treatment of enigmatic phenomena as a universal, governing the processes of development and transformation of systems of various nature as well as the unfolding of various scenarios involving the unknown and proceeds from the definition of the concept as a unit of information structure which is an aggregate of the person’s interactions with the environment. Recognizing the dynamic and cumulative nature of a concept, the study presents an attempt at reconstructing the semantic make-up of the concept MYSTERY in the worldview of the representatives of the English-speaking linguoculture by drawing on the data from humanities. In philosophy, three facets of the enigmatic can be singled out, whereby mystery appears to be something incognizable / yet to be discovered / concealed by someone from others. From the legal perspective, the idea of privacy as well as the treatment of classified information comes to the fore. Viewing the enigmatic within the dichotomy “publicity – privacy” stresses the selective nature of the former and places the latter among basic human rights, including decisional, informational and local privacy. Sociology views the phenomenon in question as a type of communicative interaction, focusing on the speakers’ behaviour and expectations as well as the changes of context aimed at hindering the transmission of the message. In detective fiction, mystery determines its content and narrative structure via the dialectic unity of concealing and solving a mystery whereas in enigmatic discourse it actualizes the interactive potential of the text, defining the strategies of the addresser-addressee interaction.	uk_UA
