dc.description.abstract	Стаття присвячена аналізу текстового втіленням концепту ДЕФРАГМЕНТОВАНИЙ ПЕРСОНАЖ у постмодерністських романах М. Аміса. Цей концепт уособлює авторське бачення людини постмодерну як носія двох чи декількох ідентичностей, розщеплених під впливом зовнішніх дискурсів. Концепт ПЕРСОНАЖ є текстовим антропоморфним концептом та наратологічною інстанцією, що бере участь у внутрішньотекстовій комунікації. Актуальність даного дослідження зумовлена антропоцентричною спрямованістю сучасної наукової парадигми, а також експериментальністю постмодерністського наративу, що пропонує матеріал цікавий для вивчення. Когнітивно-наратологічний підхід, застосований автором у статті, передбачає аналіз способів аранжування концептуальних атрибутів особистостей персонажа та моделювання концептуальних метафор, які, сукупно з наративними стратегіями та тактиками, розкривають специфіку концепту ДЕФРАГМЕНТОВАНИЙ ПЕРСОНАЖ.	uk_UA
dc.description.sponsorship	The article discusses the textual realization of a concept SPLIT CHARACTER in postmodernist novels by M. Amis. The concept represents an authorial interpretation of postmodern human being as a person with multiple identities whose self is split under the influence of external discourses. The concept CHARACTER appears to be a text-based anthropomorphic concept. It is also a reader’s mental model based partially on the text of the novel and partially on the reader’s cognitive base. The latter includes schemas from previous life experience and reading fiction. Moreover, the character is a narratological agent which takes part in intertextual communication. Cognitive narratological approach applied in this research offers a possibility for new interesting insights into the essence of human-like individual in experimental postmodernist fiction. In each instance of textual realization of the concept SPLIT CHARACTER a unique combination of narrative techniques and stylistic devices is used. The author gives an extensive analysis of the choice of narration, narrative perspective and their combination in the process of creation of the given concept. Since the existence of a character may extend not only to the fictional domain of the text, but also to a number of hypothetical subdomains, each character identity may be represented by a set of contradictory and sometimes complementary conceptual attributes. Such attributes are inferred from the textual information. The lack of motivation on the part of the character in some of M. Amis’s novels reinforces the general idea of a fictional human being in postmodernist novel as a point of access of controversial and conflicting discourses which finds its expression in the arrangement of the inner constituents of the concept SPLIT CHARACTER.	uk_UA
